Shah Rukh Khan - The King of All Times

Silver screen images of actors have been inspiring many Indian cinemagoers and many of them might have even tried their luck to be a big name someday. Among these, some have found their place in the industry. These actors, who have become super stars and are still well-connected with their audience. There are some super stars, with their magnificence and charm, conquer the hearts of many around them. Undoubtedly, one among them is the true king of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan.

Shah Rukh's fame is not just limited to Bollywood or India but it has gone far beyond and touched the hearts of many across the world, of different nationality, language and culture. Proving this beyond doubt is the success of his latest film My Name Is Khan with Kajol, his best friend in the film fraternity. It has become the highest grossing film of Shah Rukh Khan in his career. It wouldn't be wrong to say that his popularity is increasing day by day nationally and internationally. How he came into films is a story of talent and hard work. He started off in television as an actor in many serials like Fauji, Circus, Dil Dariya, Doosra Keval and many more. Spending some years in television proved good as he polished his acting skills which he had learned under Barry John, a director of Theatre Action Group. In the '90s Shah Rukh Khan entered the Indian film industry with the film Deewana. Deewana was a good launch pad for his career because the film not only became a success at the box office but also fetched him the Filmfare Best Male debut award. The following year was also good for his career as his films met with success one after the other. The character in Baazigar brought him the trophy of best actor and he got nominated for best villain for the film Darr in 1993.

It was not just about winning awards but the credit goes to him for choosing roles which had variety. In Anjaam, if he portrayed a negative role, in Karan Arjun, he played the character of a revenge seeking son. In Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (DDLJ), he acted as a happy go lucky man who finally does everything to get her lady love. For Anjaam, he got the best villain award and for DDLJ he was awarded the best actor trophy.

Yess Boss, Dil To Pagal Hai, Dil Se, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Pardes, Duplicate, Veer-Zaara, Main Hoon Na, Swades, Paheli, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Chak De India and Don- The Chase Begins Again, are only a few movies in the list of over hundred films he has done.

He shares a good relationship with almost all his male and female co-stars, producers, directors and technicians. People have acknowledged his talent as a television host and as a producer. With thirteen Filmfare awards and a Padma Shri from Indian Government, Shah Rukh Khan is a truly a phenomenon.
